摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the disadvantage in the conventional art, such as, prolonged time for processing due to the steps of determining and controlling the intensity of individual blurring processes, or the like, by acquiring, from a decoder, respective data amounts of restored frame images, since the data amounts of the frame images are coded to be different for each sheet. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a video display device, having a function of acquiring a transmission rate of a video image in place of a data amount of a frame image and controlling the intensity of NR processing, according to the transmission rate. More specifically, the video display device includes a video information acquiring section for acquiring coded video information; a decoding section for decoding the video information to create a frame video image; a transmission rate information acquiring section for acquiring transmission rate information of the video information; an NR processing section for applying NR processing to the frame video image for each frame; and a controlling section for controlling the NR processing intensity of the NR processing section based on the transmission rate information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
