PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a space temperature by a simple mechanism and operation. SOLUTION: Assuming that an arrival time difference is td, after an ultrasonic wave is transmitted from an ultrasonic wave transmitter until two differential sounds reach a detector 10 and are detected thereby at crossings L4, L5, and that a propagation route difference of the sound is d, a sound velocity V in a measuring object space is measured by the propagation route difference d/time difference td, and a temperature Z between the two crossings L4, L5 in the measuring object space R is calculated by using a calculation formula: (sound velocity V-331.5[m/s])÷0.61.
