<p>The stable thermosetting liquid prepared from formaldehyde and monohydric phenols by the process of Specification 599,842, in which the free formaldehyde has been removed, is used as a vehicle for pigments to form a printing ink. Phenol, p-ter-butyl phenol, m-cresol and 1,3,5-xylenol condensates with formaldehyde are specified. Urea-formaldehyde resins, polyhydric alcohols, paraffin or ceresin waxes may also be added to the composition, as described in examples.</p> |
