Data transmission system, messaging component, and method of transmitting data

The system has transmission channels e.g. digital subscriber line channel, to connect a central processing unit and terminals, and a distribution unit to distribute the channels. The distribution unit is arranged in such a manner that it analyses characteristics of data to be transmitted, and distributes the channels, based on the characteristics. A unit associates the data with information of selection criteria for the channels. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an information module for application in data transmission system (2) a method for transmitting data between a central processing unit and terminals.
