<p>The assembly (2) has an upstream print unit (4) and a downstream print unit (6) arranged to print a strip (14) over print width. The upstream and downstream print units define print interstices that define an interstice plane. The upstream and downstream print units define a middle line (M-M). A compensation unit (30) comprises two separate bypass units (36) i.e. deviation bodies, each defining a compensation path (TCO1) between the upstream and downstream units. The compensation path is longer than a neutral path of a neutral portion (18) of the strip to be printed.</p> |
