<p>311,339. Rohm & Haas Akt.-Ges.. May 9, 1928, [Convention date]. Adhesives, particularly for attaching paper, fabric &c. to metals are characterized by the use of polymerized acrylic acid esters. The polymerized ester may be used alone, or with other materials, such as softening agents, natural or artificial resins, rubber, cellulose, cellulose esters and ethers, kaolin. It may be dissolved in a solvent such as acetone, or formed into sheets, when adhesion is effected by placing a sheet between the surfaces to be attached and applying heat and pressure. The ethyl ester of acrylic acid is specified. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 304,681.</p> |
