A method for emulating a Multiple-Input Multiple Output, MIMO, system, comprises: transmitting an input signal (2001a) from a transmitter (2001), wherein the input signal comprises a plurality of packets, each packet is allocated a time slot, and each packet corresponds to a packet to be transmitted from a respective antenna of the MIMO system to be emulated; receiving the transmitted signal (2501c) at a receiver (2501); generating, in a channel fading generator (1600), a multipath channel impulse response for each of the plurality of packets and for each of the plurality of the receiving antennas of the MIMO system to be emulated (1600c); and processing the received signal (2501c), in a channel emulator unit (2300), with the generated channel impulse responses (1600c), to emulate a signal received over the MIMO system (2300b). |
