[Class 83 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXVI] An electric connector, comprising a rigid cylinder 35 and contact fingers 36 resiliently connected thereto, may be formed from a flat strip, Fig. 3c, which is serrated for fingers 40, grooved at 41, 42 and bent as shown, the strip being formed into a cylinder with a rigid outside 39. In a modification, a rigid cylinder 43 Fig. 4, has serrations 44 and grooves 45, 46 to provide resilience, the serrations 44 being bent as indicated by the arrows I, II. The connector of Fig. 5a is formed from a circular blank 47 in which grooves 48, 49 and a tapered bore 50 are machined and slotted to provide V-shaped fingers 51. The 'connector is made of berylium copper or soft copper. |
