Communications interfaces are provided that include a connector port that has housing that defines a plug aperture and at least first through eighth contacts that extend into the plug aperture. These communications interfaces further include an Ethernet interface (e.g., an Ethernet switch) and a multi-drop communication interface (e.g., an RS-485 transceiver).
