Method for operating an automation system

The method involves providing peripheral device (14) for detecting an operating parameter of an automation system (10). A computing device (12) is designed to determine the actuating variable based on detected operating parameter and predetermined automation object. The automation task is divided into two sub-tasks (A1-A3). The subtasks is assigned to the computing device and another tasks to automation system. The tasks include device specific tasks, which are assigned to the automation devices. An independent claim is included for an automation system.
