PLASTIC SCINTILLATOR FOR -SEPARATION

摘要

The invention relates to scintillation engineering, in particular to plastic scintillators able to separate neutrons and gamma-quantums by form of scintillation pulse (-separation) and can be used in dosimetry and in radiometry, in experiments in nuclear physics and high-energy physics. The plastic scintillator is made on basis of vinyl-aromatic polymer with primary luminescent admixture and 4-di-(2-(5-phenyloxazolyl))-benzene (POPOP) as secondary luminescent admixture. As primary luminescent admixture it contains biphenyl. The technical result of the invention is in increase of the parameter of-separation (within broad energy range), high enough mechanical strength HV=74-124 MPa and high long-term stability.
