The tractive cords (1) of the emergency raising device (5) are coupled to mechanical damping components. These damp movement of the blind (3) before it reaches its fully-raised position. They are effective ahead of the end position, but only in the end regions, where the last 5%-50% of travel takes place. The damping components are fluid dampers, i.e. they are air- or oil dampers. The dampers include stops made from elastic material.
