<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging apparatus able to reliably detect whether the opening of a packaging bag has been closed by heat fusion or not and able to easily introduce the apparatus into an existing line at a low cost, and to provide a packaging method. <P>SOLUTION: A tubular packaging bag 90 having an opening 90a at one and accommodating a group 70 of roll products inside is heat fused by heaters 11 and 21. Further, a remainder 90b located nearer to the one end of the packaging bag 90 than to the heat fused portion and involved in no heat fusion is cut by a knife 15. This cut remainder 90b is sucked into a suction nozzle 25 from a suction port 23a. The remainder 90b is sensed by a sensor 27a provided in the sensor unit 27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
