<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output file information of a document or the like stored in an OA equipment and ensure convenience of usage and security thereof together. <P>SOLUTION: File information is stored in an OA equipment 20, and when user authentication information is input, the user authentication information is transmitted to a communication adapter 21. The user authentication information is authenticated there. Alternatively, its authentication is further requested to a center system 1 that serves as a management apparatus, and the user authentication information is authenticated there. The OA equipment 20 receives authentication result information including access control information from the communication adapter 21, and the authentication results are displayed. Thereafter, when the file information to be output is selected, the output information is transmitted to the center system 1 via the communication adapter 21, and the authentication results are received by the OA equipment 20 via the communication adapter 21. When the authentication results indicate success of the authentication, the selected file information is output.
