摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a determination criterion of quality of a can in seaming inspection, and to reduce the cost of entire-perimeter inspection of a seaming part of the can which is an object of inspection. SOLUTION: When image processing is started, four images obtained by imaging a can 2 are received from infrared cameras 4-7, and processing of the introduced images, such as, setting of images at monochrome levels is executed (S1); a measurement region frame W1 and a can outline level S are set for each of the plurality of images received from the infrared camera 4-7 in S1 (S2); a lower edge LE, an upper limit and an upper edge UE are traced, in accordance with a can rolling width H<SB>0</SB>(S3); the upper edge UE is compared with a can rolling error ER to determine affirmatively in S4, that is, the can 2 has a seaming defect, when it is determined that the upper edge exceeds the can rolling error ER, and a corresponding defect discharge signal (NG signal) is output to a discharge device 30 (S5); and the discharge device 30 is driven so as to eject the defective can to a chute 31.
