PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiping detergent composition which has satisfactory cleaning force, hardly causes chocking when sprayed out of a trigger type sprayer, and is inhibited from being left without being wiped off, and a cleaning method using the wiping detergent composition stored in the trigger type sprayer. SOLUTION: The wiping detergent composition to be stored in the trigger type sprayer for use comprises 0.1-5 mass% of (A) hydrogen peroxide, and (B) 0.2-3.5 mass% of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a specific alkane sulfonic acid, a specific polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate, and salts thereof, with the content ratio of (C) a specific alkyl or alkenyl sulfate or a salt thereof being 0.5 mass% or less, and has a viscosity at 25°C of less than 10 mPas.
