There is provided a rotary connector device which can reliably cut a flat cable. It comprises a rotor 2, a stator 6 and a flat cable 10 provided in an annular space between the rotor 2 and the stator 6 for establishing a connection between the rotor and stator sides. The stator 6 includes an annular wall surrounding the annular space. The flat cable 10 has one end which is pulled outside of the annular space through an opening provided in the annular wall, and a first projection portion and a second projection portion are provided in a side edge portion of the opening to project toward the opposite side. The first projection portion has a rectangular shape as viewed in the inner diameter side, and the second projection portion has a peak shape. The first and second projection portions line up in a height direction of the annular wall. |
