<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an open circuit voltage of a fuel cell to a prescribed value or less established as a permissible voltage by carrying out cathode circulation, while maintaining a wet condition of the fuel battery cells in an appropriate state. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell system, when the demand from a load becomes nil, a cathode gas circulation to circulate the cathode off-gas as a cathode gas is carried out and so that the output voltage of the fuel cell may be a permissible voltage or less to be permitted when there is no demand from the load, the cathode gas supply and exhaust system is controlled in which the circulation flow-rate of the cathode gas is controlled so that the wet condition of the fuel battery cells may be within a prescribed range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
