A reagent management method according to the present invention uses a reagent information database including at least information on the name of the reagent in distribution, uses a target string which is a character string capable of identifying a corresponding reagent from among a group of character strings printed on a reagent packaging material and a reference string which is a specific string appearing prior to the target string, and identifies a barcode-free reagent in distribution through OCR, thereby conveniently performing reagent storage and delivery and achieving accurate reagent identification. Further, the reagent management method according to the present invention prevents storage or delivery when MSDS information is not read during the processes of reagent storage or delivery. Thus, the reagent management method obliges a user to read MSDS information so as to ensure MSDS information reading by the user, thereby having safety. MSDS information on the reagent in distribution can be automatically provided by a program, thus eliminating the necessity of ensuring MSDS for reagents owned by a business place, a laboratory, a research institute, a research department or the like. Further, the reagent management method according to the present invention can provide information about restriction on a storage location for a reagent which requires attention to a storage location and can restrict the selection of a storage location, thus ensuring accurate reagent storage. |
