Belt fastenings. - Into each end of a leather belt to be fastened is inserted a screw of unsymmetrical and triangular shape as shown, terminating in a hook and eye respectively or in overlapping single and double eyes which are connected by a hinge pin. The screws may be slightly bent to conform to the curvature of a pulley. For a flat belt, a number of similar fastenings are used. |
