The device (10) has a pawl (20) and a locking element for locking the pawl in a closed position. An actuator (24) interacts with the locking element to transfer the locking element into an unlocking position. A stop for the actuator is provided such that the actuator interacts with the stop in a blocking manner. The locking element has a material in a region of a clamping surface, where the material is softer than material of the pawl in a region of another clamping surface. The pawl has a projection on which the latter surface is partially formed.
