The housing (10) has a housing chamber (11) comprising a chamber portion (13) turned towards an environment (12) and another chamber portion (14) turned away from the environment. A separator (15) is provided between the chamber portions and separated from the housing. The separator separates the chamber portions from each other in a cast mass tight manner such that the former chamber portion is cast with casting material. The latter chamber portion is sealed in relation to the environment. A pressure equalization element i.e. membrane, cooperates with a seal (18) e.g. seal lip. An independent claim is also included for a method for sealing a housing chamber in a housing.
