The adjusting device has drive for rotating ramp ring along circumferential direction against sliding of counter-ramp for wear-dependent adjustment of distance (51) between counter pressure plate (32) and friction washer (50). The drive is provided with pinion (25) with an axis of rotation (12) to drive pawl arrangement. The stop elements are spaced apart from each other along actuation direction about the axis of rotation, and connected with pawl arrangement. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) friction clutch; and (2) motor car.
