<p>An insulation system is provided, including a first wooden panel and a second wooden panel, each having interior and exterior faces. An insulation layer composed of woven silicabased aerogel interwoven with silicone-based reinforcing coating, and having first and second surfaces is bonded to such wood panels through use of an adhesive layer positioned between surfaces and the panels. The system provides a thermal resistance or R-value in excess of 10.</p> |
