<p>The invention relates to a breakable attachment device (1) for plates (100, 101), comprising an expandable dowel (3) having a dowel head (30) defining a first bearing surface (S1) through which an opening (31) passes and which is extended by two flexible lugs (40), a pin (2) capable of being inserted into said opening (31) between the flexible lugs (40) up to a locking position in which the pin is immobilized in said expandable dowel (3) by locking means (42, 53), wherein said flexible lugs (40) are bent and retain the rear of said second plate (101), said expandable dowel (3) and said pin (2) comprising breakable areas (Z1, Z2) which are capable of being broken when subjected to a predetermined force, and which are aligned in a plane parallel to said first bearing surface (S1) in said locking position.
