The invention relates to the agricultural production processing equipment and can be used for the chopped straw materials (reed, straw, hemp) drying. Dryer consists of two mesh belt conveyors placed in housing (1) one above other. The upper conveyor (3) separates the lower conveyor (4) by bulkhead (2), splitting dryer in two drying chambers. Wet biomass is fed towards the upper conveyor belt (6) in the determined layer thickness. The conveyor moves the biomass at a specific rate, which provides a partial wet weight of the drying. Through a rotating shutter (10) semidry biomass comes in the bottom conveyor belt moving at a slower rate than the upper conveyor belt. On the lower conveyor belt biomass layer is thicker. Dry drying agent (5) is fed between the bottom mesh conveyor belts (6), and flowing through the drying mass layer provides moisture runoff. Part of the drying agent (5) flows passing through the conveyor belt open branch and clean the belt from biomass fine particles. Partly used drying agent is fed between the upper conveyor belts and provides previous drying wet biomass. The drying agent (5) flow direction in the upper chamber is analogous to the flow direction of the lower chamber. The drying agent becomes saturated with moisture and released into the atmosphere. Adjustable length plate (15) is placed over the lower branch conveyor belt to ensure sufficient drying agent supply through biomass layer and limit drying agent flow in the conveyor’s belt free branch.
