<p>594439 Disclosed is a vertically opening door (10) for a doorway in a wall, suitable for use in food and drug related environments that require cleanliness. The door comprises an elongate side frame (16) mounted to the wall, a track (18) disposed on and substantially parallel to the side frame, a pliable curtain (26) movable along the track to selectively open and close the door, and a plurality of standoffs (see 76, figure 4) interposed between the side frame and the wall. The track is removably attached to the side frame to facilitate washing of the door. The standoffs provide a ventilating air gap between the side frame and the wall which is also wide enough to allow washing between the side frame and the wall. A removable seal (see 20, figure 4) may also be provided to obstruct the ventilating air gap between the side frame and the wall. The curtain may also be movable into an overhead storage track (12).</p> |
