The present invention relates to a hanger type set-top box. A conventional set-top box is installed to be separated from a digital broadcasting receiver. If a user operates a set-top box remote control toward a remote control receiving unit of the digital broadcasting receiver (TV, monitor), the set-top box does not receive the signal very well. As a result, the lift of the remote control is shortened according as the user repeatedly and forcedly presses a remote control button, and there is inconvenience that the user has to install a special shelf for a set-top box when installing the set-top box on a ceiling or a wall. To solve the problems, the present invention comprises: a set-top box body (100) having a connection rod entry hole (101) formed in the front thereof; a front operating part (110) which is made in a state of being separated from the set-top box body (100); and a connection rod (120) of which one end is connected to the front operating part (110) and the other end is inserted into the connection rod entry hole (101) of the set-top box body (100) to enter, which folds the set-top box body (100) by a hinge part (121), and in which wiring for connecting the set-top box body (100) to the front operating part (110) is installed. By installing the set-top box in an edge bezel of a digital broadcasting receiver, user convenience increases according as the set-top box is accurately operated even when a user operates a set-top box remote control toward the digital broadcasting receiver. Also, installation time and installation costs are reduced by removing the need for a conventional separate shelf even when hanging the set-top box on a ceiling or a wall. |
