The method involves injecting dry air presenting a water content that is lower or equal to 3 percent by weight i.e. preferably lower or equal to 1 percent by weight, in an injection drain (2). The pressure of injection of dry air is allowed to be higher than 109 kPa i.e. preferably higher than 218 kPa. The injected dry air is provided a temperature ranging between 40 degrees Celsius and 400 degrees Celsius i.e. preferably higher than 100 degrees Celsius. A processing chamber is arranged for containment of a mound (T) that is to be treated.
