The present invention relates to a device for monitoring a screen state of a bus information terminal which calculates an average value of pixel RGB values of a comparison reference image, which is obtained by photographing the whole screen area or a part of the screen area with a camera, by using a comparison reference image RGB value; stores the same; calculates the average values of the pixel RGB values of a current image obtained by photographing the comparison reference image with the camera at predetermined time intervals by using a current image RGB value; determines whether or not the whole screen area or the part of the screen area is turned off during the predetermined time by comparing the current image RGB value with the comparison reference image RGB value; automatically turns on/off a backlight power switch of the whole screen area or the part of the screen area of a display unit for solving defects; and restarts the bus information terminal when the defect situation is still generated after turning on/off the backlight power switch by initializing the bus information terminal. The present invention monitors or confirms whether or not bus operation information is normally displayed on the screen of the display unit and solves the defects when the whole screen area or the part of the screen area is turned off or the defect is generated.
