<p>Provided is a portable terminal that can be made compact and that can improve operability in character inputs. A touch panel is provided on the screen of a display means (10). A first cursor (101) and a second cursor (102) are displayed on a character input screen that includes a keyboard image. A first designation image (20) for designating the movement direction and others of the first cursor (101) and a second designation image (30) for designating the movement direction and others of the second cursor (102) are displayed at respective predetermined areas on the screen of the display means (10). When the user operates the first designation image (20) or the second designation image (30), the control means of the portable terminal determines the specified operation on the basis of the signal output from the touch panel and controls the movements of the first cursor (101) and the second cursor (102) or controls a character input according to the determination result.</p> |
