Provided is a remote control information reception method. Wide envelope modulation is predefined as follows: a character is repeated in byte units several times, and a plurality of repeated characters are taken as one character; and wide envelope demodulation is a reverse process of the wide envelope modulation. The method comprises: receiving a link setup request, and parsing the link setup request using both a communication protocol mode and a wide envelope modulation mode respectively; when the communication protocol has failed and the link setup request conforms to the wide envelope modulation mode, switching to a wide envelope modulation/demodulation operating mode, and sending a link setup response message; and receiving remote control information. The remote control information reception method provided in the present application, when a failure of a link based on a communication protocol occurs, realizes the transmission of remote control information by means of a wide envelope modulation/demodulation mode independent of the communication protocol, and solves the problem that a remote device is detached and has failed to receive the remote control information, resulting in a need for going to the remote device site to maintain it. |
