The invention relates to a start-current limiting device comprising a first electric connection part (26) which is associated with a motor vehicle battery pol (9), a second electric connection part (24) which is associated with a starter (10), and a current strength control device (12) which electrically connects the first connection part (26), at least temporarily, to the second connection part (24). A first current path extends from the first connection part (26) to the second connection path (24) by means of the current strength control device (12). In order to protect the current strength control device (12) from overloads, a resistor (14) which is electrically connected in parallel to the current strength control device (12) and which connects the first connection part (26) to the second connection part (24) is connected to the connection parts (24, 26) in such a manner that the resistor (14) is in contact with the first connection part (26) by means of a first web and is in contact with the second connection part (24) by means of a second web and one surface of the web which faces one connection part (24, 26) extends parallel in relation to a surface of the connection parts (24, 26) facing the resistor (14). |
