PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly restrain the consumption of power caused by a handover.SOLUTION: A communication terminal device comprises: a storage unit; a connection control unit; a group determination unit; and a handover control unit. The storage unit stores therein an intermittent receiving time at which a signal including group identification information for identifying a group formed by a plurality of base stations is intermittently received from a base station from which handed over. The connection control unit sequentially connects to each adjacent base station in an intermittent receiving period when the received quality of the radio wave of a base station is lower than a threshold and no group identification information on each of a plurality of adjacent base stations adjacent to the base station is received from the base station. The group determination unit determines whether a signal was received from an adjacent base station and determines by using the group identification information included in the received signal whether the adjacent base station belongs to the same group as the base station. When a handover from the base station to a base station at the destination of the handover is performed, the handover control unit selects the adjacent base station determined to belong to the same group as the base station, as a base station to which to be handed over. |
