PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston cylinder device capable of reducing consumption of lubricant without producing reaction products.SOLUTION: In a piston cylinder device for use in an internal combustion engine including a piston and cylinder for use in especially large-engine or compressor, the cylinder has a sleeve that defines a cylinder inner side space, and the piston has a piston jacket surface, a piston upper end surface and a piston lower end surface. The piston includes a lubricant collecting device provided inside the piston inner side space, and the lubricant collecting device includes a recessed part in the piston jacket surface and a passage for receiving a gas containing lubricant. The passage communicates with the recessed part within the piston body, so that the gas containing lubricant is guided to a reservoir through the passage in an operating condition. |
