摘要 Embodiments of the present invention relate to a disaster recovery method of an optical communication system, an optical add-drop multiplexer branching unit, and a disaster recovery system. A disaster recovery method of an optical communication system using an optical add-drop multiplexer (OADM) comprises: detecting a transmission link fault in an optical communication system, and when a transmission link fault is detected, switching a link where the transmission link fault occurs from a punch-through state to a loopback state, so that an optical signal input at an end that is not faulty of the link is looped back to said end and output. Through the solution of the embodiment of the present invention, in the event that a transmission link fault occurs in the optical communication system, a power level of a link where the transmission link fault occurs is maintained, thereby maintaining stable transmission performance and improving the disaster recovery capability of the optical communication system. In addition, the solution of the embodiment of the present invention does not introduce additional energy into the transmission link, so spontaneous emission noise will not be introduced, hence guaranteeing the system performance.
