<p>The present technology relates to a receiver device, receiving method, and program capable of rapidly presenting one-segment broadcasting that can be received. A station information acquisition unit acquires service area information used for tuning to a service of a broadcast performed by a station transmitting airwaves capable of being received at a predetermined position from among stations transmitting airwaves for broadcasts at an arbitrary segment; a station selection unit, using the service area information, selects a station transmitting airwaves that can be received at a predetermined position as a channel-selectable station for which channel selection is possible; and a channel selection control unit performs channel selection control for channel-selecting a service of a broadcast being performed by the channel-selectable station. The present technology, for example, can be applied to a portable receiving terminal of a one-segment broadcast or the like.</p> |
