PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel lubricant composition, which maintains anti-shudder performance even in long-term use and has a high torque transmission capacity of wet clutches and satisfactory gear shift characteristics.SOLUTION: A lubricant composition comprises a lubricant base oil includes: an ester compound (A) represented by general formula (1) and obtained by subjecting one equivalent of a hydrocarbyl diol and one equivalent of a carboxylic acid to dehydrating condensation reaction; and an antiwear agent including phosphorus (B) (In general formula (1), any one of Rand Ris a C12 or more hydrocarbyl group and the other is hydrogen or C1-30 hydrocarbyl group and, when both Rand Rhave 3 or more carbon atoms, the hydrocarbyl groups may contain a saturated amine bond (>N-), a thioether bond (-S-) or an ether bond (-O-), and Rhas 0-3 carbon atoms). |
