PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive material storage facility which facilitates discharge of rain water entering from an exhaust port in the ceiling and allows easy conveyance of a cask.SOLUTION: A building 2 of a radioactive material storage facility 1 comprises an exhaust passage 10A disposed between a first ceiling 7 and a second ceiling 8A, and an exhaust passage 10B disposed between a first ceiling 7 and a second ceiling 8B. External air entering from air inlets 5 cool each metal cask 14 which is stored in a cask storage area 6 of the building 2 and stores spent fuel assemblies, then flows into the exhaust passage 10A and the exhaust passage 10B via an opening 11 and is discharged to the outside via exhaust ports 16A, 16B. Inclined surfaces 9A, 9B which are inclined towards side walls 3 are formed on the top surface of the second ceiling 8A and the top surface of the second ceiling 8B. Rain water entering from the exhaust ports 16A, 16B to the inside of the exhaust passages 10A, 10B gathers at the side of the side walls 3 and is discharged to the outside of the building 2 via drain passages 12A, 12B. |
