PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform the ranking of answer candidates to a question sentence.SOLUTION: A sentence group extraction part 74 extracts the group of answer candidate sentences constituted of one or more sentences to an input question sentence. As for each of the answer candidate sentences, a featured value generation part 76 generates a feature vector including a featured value relating to the relevancy of the content of the question sentence and the answer candidate sentence with respect to the combination of the question sentence and the answer candidate sentence and a featured value relating to each of sentence length, character type, the validity of sentence and the presence/absence of the existence of interrogative in the answer candidate sentence. As for each combination of the question sentence and the answer candidate sentence, a ranking part 77 calculates scores on the basis of a preliminarily leaned ranking model and the feature vector with respect to the combination, and performs the ranking of the group of the answer candidate sentences in accordance with the calculated scores. |
