PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic container which can surely unlock the engagement of its lid even when a pressing operation is made at a slightly outward position of its hook piece.SOLUTION: A cosmetic container is designed to release the engagement of a first engagement section 41 of a lid 21 and a second engagement section 51 of a container body 11 to release the closure of the container body 11 and the lid 21, by a pressing operation of a hook piece 31 provided on the container body 11. The container body 11 includes a first projection section 52 forming a first gap 54 between the container body and a first engagement section 41 when the first engagement section 41 and a second engagement section 51 are engaged with each other. A hook piece 31 includes a hook piece body 32, and an abutment section 35 formed to the hook piece body through a flexible portion 34, and disposed in such a manner to be freely moved forward and backward relative to the first gap 54. Between the container body 11 and the hook piece 31, coil springs 61 positioned on both sides of the abutment section 35, and energizing the hook piece 31 to the container body 11 in a direction the abutment piece 35 is retracted from the first gap 54. |
