PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mounting workability by more reliably preventing the event that a ring member cannot be normally mounted on a joint mechanism.SOLUTION: An operation device includes a cylindrical member, an operation button arranged on the inner periphery side of the cylindrical member, an operation mechanism having a supporting shaft for supporting the operation button, a joint mechanism connected to the cylindrical member for holding the operation mechanism, and an annular ring member 8 provided on the outer periphery of the joint mechanism, having an opening 81 in part in the peripheral direction, and adapted to elastically deform itself to widen the opening 81. The inner periphery of the ring member 8 protruded from the inner periphery of the joint mechanism is locked to the outer periphery of the cylindrical member, and then the joint mechanism is connected to the cylindrical member. Assuming that a direction along a center axis L1 of the ring member 8 is a vertical direction and a direction along a straight line L2 perpendicular to the center axis L1 is a horizontal direction, the ring member 8 has a vertically and horizontally symmetrical shape. |
