PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for manufacturing a separator integrated electrode for a battery obtained by molding a separator member in a projecting/recessed shape following a projecting/recessed shape of an active material layer provided on a collector, and a technology for manufacturing a battery using the electrode for a battery.SOLUTION: A separator member 54 is disposed at an opposite side of copper foil 51 functioning as a negative electrode collector with respect to a negative electrode active material layer 52 of a projecting/recessed shape obtained by providing line-shaped patterns 521 mutually parallelly on the copper foil 51. The separator member 54 is molded in a projecting/recessed shape following the projecting/recessed shape of the negative electrode active material layer 52 by relatively moving linear projecting parts 212 of a type member 21 from an opposite side of the negative active material layer 52 with respective to the separator member 54 toward recessed parts 522 of the negative electrode active material layer 52. Thus, a separator integrated electrode for a battery 55 having a nest structure is manufactured.
