摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new solar cell element which has a high photoelectric conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: A CaAglayer 22 (0.001≤x≤0.06) and a ZnO layer 23 are included in a transparent substrate. The CaAglayer 22 has 2 to 18 nm thickness. The ZnO layer 23 consists of a plurality of ZnO columnar crystal grains 23a grown on a surface of the CaAglayer 22. Each ZnO columnar crystal grain 23a has a longer direction along a normal direction of a transparent substrate main body 21 and has a width increasing from the CaAglayer 22 toward a transparent conductive layer 3. The width of each ZnO columnar crystal grain 23a appears by being cut off along the normal direction of the transparent substrate main body 21. The R2/R1 ratio of each ZnO columnar crystal grain 23a is 1.1 to 1.6. R1 is one end width of the ZnO columnar crystal grain 23a in contact with the surface of the CaAglayer 22, and R2 is the other end width of the ZnO columnar crystal grain 23a.
