PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant restriction control device and an occupant restriction control method for deploying an airbag to an occupant of a three year old child or more and an occupant of using a forward child seat or a CRS, by restraining operation of an occupant restricting device in the case of a backward child seat.SOLUTION: A camera 2 photographs an image in the direction of a seat from the front of the seat of a vehicle. A face characteristic detecting part 12 detects a characteristic of a face from the image photographed by the camera 2. An occupant determining part 13 changes a degree of operating an airbag and a seat belt pretensioner for restricting an occupant of the seat by an airbag operating device 5 and a seat belt operating device 8 based on the existence of detecting the characteristic of the face in the face characteristic detecting part 12. In addition to it or instead of it, an operation degree of a warning device 30 acting on the occupant may be changed to a warning control device 30. |
