The present invention is directed to a method for treating inflammation, inflammatory-related disorders, or pain, by administering omega-(methylthio)alkylnitriles such as 3- (methylthio)propionitrile, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof to a subject in need thereof.
