<p>Provided is a novel silane compound containing a perfluoropolyether group, which is characterized by being represented by any one of general formulae (1a), (1b), (2a) and (2b) and having a number average molecular weight of 6 × 103 to 1 × 105, and which enables the formation of a layer having water repellency, oil repellency, stain-proof properties and high friction durability.
