<p>A Chinese medicine for preventing and treating rhagades and frostbite is prepared by using the following raw materials (parts by weight): ginger (800-1200), cinnamon (40-80), rhubarb (40-80), liquorice (20-60), safflower (80-120), white tuckahoe (50-90), angelica (40-80), scorpion (10-50), clove (10-50), tangerine peel (10-50), medlar (10-50), gleditsia sinensis (50-90), almond (20-60), white mustard seed (5-30), purslane (20-60), pangolin scales (5-40), chicken's gizzard-membrane (10-50), honeysuckle leaves (500-900), astragalus root (260-300), peppermint (5-40), dark plum fruit (2-20), Chinese gall (10-50), calcined dragon bone (5-40), dog bone (5-40), dog oil (10000-14000), camphor (100-500), dragon's blood (5-40), mirabilite (2000-6000), borneol (2-30) and vaseline (2000-6000). The Chinese medicine has the advantages of readily available raw materials and low cost, and provides effects of warming channel for dispelling cold, promoting blood circulation by removing blood stasis, reducing swelling and easing pain and itching, removing necrosis and promoting granulation, avoiding scar formation, beautifying and skin-care.</p> |
