<p>[Problem] To provide a magnetic fluid seal that can be suitably used even with a rotary shaft to which a load is applied. [Solution] A magnetic fluid seal (20) seals the gap between a device end part (14) and a rotary shaft (22) that passes through the device end part, and comprises the following: a magnetic flux generation means (28) that generates a magnetic flux; a magnetic flux transmission means (24, 26) that faces the rotary shaft with minute gap therebetween and transmits the magnetic flux; a housing (38) disposed so as to be relatively movable with respect to the device end part in the radial direction of the rotary shaft; and a magnetic fluid (44) that is held in the minute gap by the magnetic flux generated by the magnetic flux generation means.</p> |
