PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel surface treatment agent for optical members that has water repellency, oil repellency, and antifouling properties, and is capable of forming a layer having high surface lubricity.SOLUTION: A surface treatment agent for optical members comprising a fluoropolyether group-containing silicone compound represented by general formula (I). (In the formula: Rto Reach independently represent an alkyl group or an aryl group; Rf is a fluoropolyether group; X is a divalent organic group; (a) is 1 or more and 10,000 or less; b is 0 or more and 100 or less; the order for each repeating unit in parentheses is arbitrary in the formula; and Yand Yare hydroxyl groups or hydrolyzable groups, when b is not 0; and, when b is 0, Yis a group represented by Rf-X- and Yis a hydroxyl group or a hydrolyzable group). |
